K.C. Dinesan

Mr. Dinesan is a seasoned aquaculture expert with over 35 years of experience managing and operating projects in both the public and private sectors, specifically in marine shrimp hatchery and farm management, as well as new project development. His extensive expertise and dedication to advancing sustainable aquaculture are evident in his technical knowledge and practical applications.

Mr. Dinesan specialises in hatchery operations and farm management for marine shrimp species such as Litopenaeus vannamei, Penaeus monodon, and Penaeus indicus. His proficiency includes broodstock pond-rearing and domestication, shrimp health management, problem-solving, technology upgrades, productivity enhancement, and the development of new projects. He is a strong advocate for eco-friendly and ethical aquaculture practices.

In addition to his hands-on experience, Mr. Dinesan has served as a Senior Aquaculture Specialist for the EU-India Capacity Building Initiative for Trade Development (EU-India CITD). This initiative aims to enhance the capacity of India's trade-related regulatory institutions and enforcement systems to meet international standards and business needs, as well as to support India's trade-related training institutions in strengthening their capacities.

Currently, Mr. Dinesan is the proprietor and head aquaculture consultant at Vision Aqua in Aroor, Kerala, India, a position he has held since March 1998. Through his consultancy, he continues to provide expert guidance and innovative solutions for sustainable aquaculture development.
